I love working at ComplyWith because of the people—and getting to dive into all sorts of different areas of law that I never expected to learn about.
Originally from the wide-open spaces of Upper Moutere in Nelson, Claire now calls Porirua home. She has lived abroad in Osaka, Japan, during high school and Copenhagen, Denmark, for her final university semester. Claire holds an LLB and a BA in Japanese and Philosophy from Victoria University of Wellington.
Before joining ComplyWith, Claire managed a team at the Ministry of Justice that published court decisions online and volunteered her legal skills at community law centres, supporting accessible legal advice for those who need it most. Now, as a Legal Consultant in the Customer Experience team, Claire spends her days mapping legal obligations, helping customers get the most from the ComplyWith tool, and championing the noble mission of making legal compliance a little less painful for everyone.
Claire gets a quiet thrill from ticking off to-do lists, curating the perfect playlist, going for a run, and taking on ambitious DIY projects around the house. She’s learning te reo Māori, and loves nothing more than hanging out with her husband and their blind cat, Bumble. Add in an early night and time with friends or family, and you've got her perfect day.
