This role would suit someone who enjoys diving into different areas of the law, with the opportunity to specialise internally in some of our main customer industries.
Part of a small team reporting to the Head of Customer Experience, there will be opportunities to grow your career with ComplyWith as the business continues to grow. This unique role at the intersection of law and technology allows for more autonomy and client contact than a typical intermediate legal role. You’ll broaden your legal expertise across a variety of industries while applying the law through technology-driven compliance solutions.
This is a full-time role in our growing Customer Experience Team, based in our Wellington waterfront office.
What you’ll be doing
In this diverse customer-facing role, you’ll deliver practical legal compliance outcomes for industry-leading organisations.
Your work will include:

- Using our tools to identify risk areas and legal compliance issues for customers
- Advising customers on legal compliance best practice
- Writing reports for leadership and governance on legal risk insights and law changes impacting their organisation
- Planning and managing projects to set customers up with our legal products in a way that delights them and ensures they receive the most value from our tools, including:
- Working with legal and risk teams to introduce, embed, and expand our products across their business
- Leading meetings with key staff across customer organisations to develop a deep knowledge of how their industry and business work
- Setting the wider customer organisation up with our legal products
- Developing long-term trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
- Proactively supporting our customer community with ongoing advice on how their organisation can get the most out of our tools
- Contributing to improvements to the customer journey process and internal processes
- Advocating for our products at conferences and industry events
- Contributing to business and software development by channelling customer feedback and your experience using our tools.
You’ll have mentoring and support from senior team members to get up to speed.
You’ll also work closely with the Content Team which is responsible for our legal compliance content, and the rest of the Customer Experience team to support and guide our customers on our legal products.
How you’ll know you’re successful
You know you’re doing a great job when:
- You receive positive feedback and are highly valued by customers and key stakeholders for your impact
- You start to become an expert in our legal content, being able to pinpoint how our content applies to different organisations
- You develop familiarity with the legal risk profiles of different industries and customer operations, and know what questions to ask to pinpoint these
- You’re owning and managing your own customer project work and ongoing customer relationships
- You’re becoming a subject matter expert in legal compliance insight and best practice.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone with the skills to comfortably and clearly communicate legal complexity to customers and senior stakeholders. You’ll have a systematic approach and can grow with us as ComplyWith continues to accelerate.
